Week #3—September 9 to 13

This week will be hot outside, so we may limit our recess time outside and have more recess-time inside. Today is supposed to hit 98 degrees and I don’t want the kids to get overheated. The system of sending home orange folders to show you classwork has begun. Most of the classes send them home on Friday, along with a letter to the parents that will either come out on e-mail or in the folder. The Hurricanes’ folders will come out on Thursday, but everyone else should have orange folders coming home on Friday. All of them should come back on Monday, so you have the weekend to look them over. If you don’t get one, ask your student about it. Still enrolling for the Drama Group.

Monday—The first day of dance class and it’s a sample class (no cost) for kids to try it out. That’s from 1:00 to 2:00. Today is a regular bus route and afterschool is with Miss Fatuma.

Tuesday—This is the Tempest’s library day. If you live in Dekalb County, get your child’s library card, please. Checking out books is easier when each child has a card.  Today, Miss Fatuma does afterschool.

Wednesday—Today, Miss Jannette does afterschool.

Thursday—Piano Lessons this morning from 10:30 to 11:00. Library Day for the Whirlwinds and Wind Shears. Jannette is the afterschool teacher.

Friday—Today the Hurricanes have library time and everyone has Spanish today. Jannette has afterschool today, which ends at 5:00. No bus routes today.

We are still accepting kids in every class. If you have a neighbor or co-worker looking for a school and you refer them to us, you get a $25 coupon to use at school in any way you like.

If you are not paying through FACTS, please get your Checks or CASHAP payments in this week.
