Week #10

Super busy week—I’ll get right to it. Report cards are coming out this week—ask your child for it.

Monday—30th—A regular day getting ready for the new quarter and for the Halloween stuff tomorrow. The Palms are watching Beetlejuice in the late afternoon.

Tuesday—31st—We head down to Los Colinas around 11:30. Everyone may wear a costume to school (but send a change of clothes in case the costume is too itchy!)  The cost is $6 and we’ve pre-ordered so the kids’ food should be ready pretty quickly. Afterward, the DeKalb kids go to the library. We may be outsiders in the afternoon, if it’s as pretty as today.

Wednesday November 1st—The first day of the new grading period. The Oaks will get a surprise this morning.

Thursday—November 2nd—the Oaks go on a special field trip this morning to see a real Indian Pow-Wow over at Stone Mountain. The cost is $13 each, but you only have to pay $10 because I’m using some old field trip money to lower the cost. We are leaving very early (about 8:45) so send good walking shoes and lightweight jackets. We have no idea how long this trip will be (information is sketchy) but last year we stayed all morning. We’ll come back to eat lunch. Then, the Gwinnett kids get to go to the library.

Friday—November 3rd No hot lunch today (since everyone is spending on Tuesday and some on Thursday). Instead we’ll have somemores over in our play area.  Everyone likes to toast marshmallows. This is our celebration of the fall.
