Busy week. I’ll get right to it. Everyone that owes for afterschool for January, please get your checks in. That money pays for staffing afterschool.  Such a gorgeous morning. We have so much to look forward to! This week is the beginning of the long food drive. Please let your kids help select a few things to bring in.

Monday (2/13)—swimming lessons for the younger kids at the YMCA from 11:00 to 12:00 on the next 8 available Mondays. The cost is $45. The Falcons will come with me to purchase an apple, cucumber, and potato this morning to feed our crickets.

Tuesday (2/14)—Valentine’s Day!  Parties with the two younger classes. Spanish is today, as well.

Wednesday (2/15)—Tennis from 1:30 to 2:30 at $7/class.  This will go on for the next two months. Drama is from 3:00 to 4:30. Daisy Dickson (Jade’s mom) will be here to discuss the “Vegan Lifestyle” in conjunction with the Nutrition/Human Body theme for the Falcons.

Thursday (2/16) Owls will cook over a campfire today, either here or at Debbie’s house. Pioneers were cooking over fires the whole way across the U.S. so it should be easy for us. Anyone that wants to, may bring a musical instrument to show their friends during circle time. If you don’t have one, don’t worry. We’ll have plenty.

Friday (2/17) We are hoping to do an hour of tabling at Kroger to collect food for the Tucker Food Pantry. This will be from 10:00 to 11:00 with the Falcons.

Calendar Note: There will be no bus delivery on Friday March 3rd, as Debbie will be at the Environmental Educators conference in Buford. School is closed February 20th for President’s Day.
