Good Morning. A May 4th, Monday door letter!  I am at school from 9:00 to 12:00 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday this week.Call if you need me–I’m forwarding the school phone to my cell. School number is 678-615-2313.

Sometime during that time, I would like you to come by and let your kids pick up their personal items left in their desks, their science fair projects, Hurricanes can get their book reports, etc. I get the lucky benefit of seeing everyone’s faces in real life instead of on the computer!  Also, the boxes are out on the breezeway, if you have work to turn in or textbooks or library books you are finished with, etc. On Tuesday, I am working all morning on the website and on finding sources for computer equipment we might need in the fall.

On Wednesday, I am working all morning on everyone’s account statement, so you will all know where you are. Naturally, we are all struggling to deal with this crazy economic situation, so don’t get nervous–let’s just see what’s what and then some decisions can be made moving forward.
On Friday, I’m going to start putting together a plan  for the end of year report  cards–maybe a zoom meeting with the teachers to figure this out. Also, teachers can come by any morning they want between now and the end of school to get their personal stuff and to straighten up their rooms, etc.
I think  the libraries will open pretty soon and we all have tons of library books out. Bring those as soon as you can, so I can get organized to get everything back to the library.
I miss the routine of school and all the fun of good weather to take the kids out–I miss the silly circle time in the morning with singing and with older kids rolling their eyes at me. I miss eating lunch with kids–and I am surprised that I miss hearing the chit chat on the bus as I am taking kids home. “You don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone!”
